Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fox Invoice ("Fox Invoice," "we," "us") collects through the foxinvoice.com website and the Fox Invoice Android app (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create a Fox Invoice account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (which we store only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or have access to your actual password). You may optionally add a company name, business address, phone number, a PayPal address for accepting payments, and a company logo image, all of which appear on the invoices you generate.
Information about your own clients
To use Fox Invoice for its intended purpose, you enter information about the businesses and people you invoice — their name, address, email, and phone number. This information is provided and controlled by you, the account holder, not by us. We use it only to generate your invoices and, if you enable it, to send invoice, receipt, and overdue-payment-reminder emails to your clients on your behalf.
Invoice and payment records
We store the invoices, line items, amounts, due dates, payment records, and recurring-invoice schedules you create, so you can track and manage your billing over time.
Technical information
The Android app stores authentication tokens and a local cache of your invoices, clients, and settings on your device so the app works offline and syncs when you're back online. Our servers log standard technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain your Fox Invoice account and the invoices you create
- To send invoice, receipt, and overdue-reminder emails to your clients, only as and when you choose to send or enable them
- To sync your data between the website and the Android app
- To respond to support requests you send us
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share the client, invoice, or account data in your Fox Invoice account with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Your own clients: if you enter a client's email address and send them an invoice or reminder, that email is sent directly to them — this is a core function of the Service, controlled by you.
- PayPal: if you choose to add a PayPal address to your account, it is displayed on your invoices so your clients can pay you directly. Fox Invoice does not transmit this address to PayPal or process payments through PayPal's systems.
- Service providers: we use hosting and email-delivery infrastructure necessary to operate the Service. These providers process data only on our behalf and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fox Invoice, our users, or others.
Advertising and analytics on our website
Some informational pages of foxinvoice.com (such as our Home, About, and Contact pages) display Google AdSense advertising. Google may use cookies and similar technologies on those pages to serve ads, which may involve the collection of data as described in Google's Advertising Policies.
foxinvoice.com also uses Matomo, a web analytics service, to understand aggregate visitor traffic to our website (such as which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived at the site). This helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Both of these appear only on the public marketing pages of our website — they do not appear anywhere in the invoicing dashboard, your account data, or the Android app. The Fox Invoice Android app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising software of any kind.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on our servers and transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. The Android app caches your data locally on your device to support offline use; this cache is cleared when you sign out of the app.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account, client, and invoice data for as long as your account remains active, so that you can continue to access your invoicing history.
You can review and update most of your account information at any time from Account Settings in the app or on the website. You can also permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself, at any time, directly from Account Settings — in the app, or on the website at Delete my account (you'll need to sign in first). Account deletion is immediate and irreversible: it permanently removes your account, every client and contact you've entered, every invoice and payment record, and your uploaded logo. You do not need to contact us to request this, though you're welcome to reach out to the email below if you'd rather we do it for you or if you run into any trouble.
Children's Privacy
Fox Invoice is a business tool intended for individuals and businesses issuing invoices, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these rights directly within your Account Settings, or by contacting us using the information below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
